Let’s help…

Let’s help together is an ONG app that we designed as part of a 7-day UX challenge by the University of Elisava. We were given a project brief based on actual ONG and some tasks to complete daily. At the end of the 7 days, we had to have the basic outlines of an application where the client could regain confidence in different organizations.

Challenge

Why are ONG in crisis, and how can we help others?

What is happening today?

We are in a decade where everyone wants help, feeling that our actions serve a purpose, a reason and in a way we believe that way we left our footprint in the memory of history.

All the organizations know it! And they ask for help to bring life to some projects, So, How can we convert this necessity into an opportunity when any else believe the ONG?

We discover that a huge number of people distrust organizations for different reasons: corruption case, ideology problems, malpractice, no transparency, etc. But the main one is the continuous negative publicity that makes you feel that your actions don’t have an impact. In consequence, they prefer to look for another option and avoid feeling tied up and manipulated.

Insights

Project filters

The users want to choose which project and location they can and want to help with.

Transparency

One of the most important aspects we have to focus on it because users want to know the consequence of their action and feel that their sacrifice is in line with their values.

0 Stress

Another red flag was that the consumer feels persecuted, unable to participate in a single initiative without ONG trying to manipulate his feelings to make him feel guilty and give more money.

Goals

Easy Use

The age difference of the project is huge, so it is essential to make a structure that everyone can understand and effortless.

Reports

Built a system of report where the user can see how the ONG use their donations and the impact for their actions

Be solidary without login

Avoid saving user data and allow customization of the app

RESEARCH DATA

The crazy 8’s session

The second and third day, we began to tackle potential solutions to our users problem. First, we spent some time researching existing products and websites within the OMG industry and I reviewed their existing problems and solutions. Next, we spent 8 minutes creating 8 rough sketches with the goal to push beyond my existing ideas. The third task was about focusing and refining some ideas created in the crazy 8’s session.

We proposed to create Trueque App – it is a perfect solution for the lockdown where the participant can swap experience in a simple way and stay in contact with the community.

Create

Mid- Wirefrimes

The wireframes used to layout content and functionality on the app takes into account user needs and which object is to make an easy flow and avoid the change of option by the client.

On the fourth day, we focused on creating wireframes that would convey the ideas more clearly. we kept the design minimal and consistent, in addition to using grids and hierarchy guidelines to match everything with logic.

CREATE

High- Wireframes

On the fifth and sixth days, we focused on high-quality version screens. We wanted to use this task to focus on accessibility and usability.

  1. We used icons and specify the color range to help support text and show users whether their tasks were successful.
  2. Furthermore, we use indicators to help users identify their place on the screen and determine how they want to organize information that they would like to know.
PROTOTYPE

Final product

In the last days, the team focused on analyzing all UI design elements and the interaction with each other screens. We chose to use the purple color, which is commonly associated with peace, pride and dignity. Also, makes a good contrast with the pastel blue color in the background and a few some elements.

By the end of the week-long challenge, we had designed screens that would allow my user to search for her favorite project, feel useful and comfortable with his action which will be traducing as unconditional support for the cause.
